The double burden of malnutrition: New data and policy responses

The World Health Organization (WHO) departments of Noncommunicable Diseases (NCD) and Nutrition and Food Safety (NFS) invite you to the launch of the Lancet paper The Double Burden of Malnutrition: new data and policy responses, taking place on 1 March 2024 at 2pm CET. 

Undernutrition and obesity have been simultaneously present in countries, communities and families. A new study conducted by the NCD-Risk Factor Collaboration (NCD-RisC), in collaboration with WHO, will be published in The Lancet on 29 February at 23:30 GMT.

The study, analysing the prevalence of undernutrition and obesity in children, adolescents and adults worldwide, will be presented by Senior author Professor Majid Ezzati of Imperial College London. Current policy responses will be discussed by WHO.
