Hosted by Canada, New Zealand and the United Kingdom
Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom are co-hosting a reception on I-CAN during CFS 51, with support from FAO, GAIN, WHO and SUN Movement. Please join us for a lively discussion and sustainable and nutritious refreshments.
The objectives of the reception are to:
- Reflect on the evidence of the impact of integrated climate and nutrition action in agrifood, water, social protection, and health systems, and consider how it can be best used.
- Explore opportunities to co-create innovative integrated actions that address climate change and malnutrition through informal discussion.
- Discuss the decision-making infrastructure to take advantage of joint opportunities for accelerating climate and nutrition action.
Background

Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom are committed to enhancing food security and nutrition and recognize the importance of addressing the nexus between climate and nutrition. The COP 27 global flagship initiative, the Initiative on Climate Action and Nutrition (I-CAN), is dedicated to advocating and catalyzing integrated actions to address climate change, malnutrition, and sustainable development simultaneously.
