This Guidance Note aimed to assist United Nations Country Teams (UNCTs) with the integration of nutrition into the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF), using a multi-sectoral approach. The Guidance Note was part of efforts to ensure an effective response by the UN system, as it assists Member States in preparing and implementing coherent and balanced development policies that effectively tackle malnutrition. It has since been superseded by A guidance note on nutrition for United Nations country teams, their government counterparts and other stakeholders, published in 2023.
